This morning most of the Christmas decorations were taken down, and just the two trees left. The Christmas period rushes by, and soon we will be moaning about Easter eggs for sale.
This lunchtime we are off to see my brother (Ernest) and his wife Joyce. We are eating at a restaurant at Trevaskis Farm which is about 20 miles away. It will be good to see them again, and what a pity my other brother (Ronald) can’t be there. He is recuperating in Plymouth after heart surgery. He is doing well, and hopefully he will soon be home.
Deb and I had a quiet New Year’s Eve watching musicals on TV and sharing a bottle of bubbly. We rarely go out to celebrate the event, but it is a moment to look back on the old year, and remember those no longer with us.
Ok, enough for now as it will soon be time to go out.
Thanks to all of you who have bought my new book.
