You will have noticed that I have been very quiet since our return from the cruise. To be honest there has been so much happening that there wasn’t time to let you know what was going on.
Deb and I have made a bit of a decision about our future.
Well, unless something goes seriously wrong in the next few weeks, we will be moving back to Cornwall.
After a few days to recover from the cruise, we paid a visit to Cornwall and took a look at a possible new place to live.
After some thoughts, we put our house on the market, and sat back to see what would happen.
Well, it was sold in less than a fortnight – subject to contracts of course.
We made an offer on the property we had seen. The first offer was laughed at, but after only a slight increase, we had a deal in principle. That was little more than a month ago, and we have finally reached a point where we can breathe easier as the solicitors do their bit in the background.
It will be a little while now before we hear anything more, but if plans go smoothly, we will be soon deciding on the actual moving dates – and spending some of our savings to make it happen.
So, please put up with a lack of information for the time being. But this may well be the moment when “A Cornishman East of the Tamar” becomes “A Cornishman Back Home in Cornwall”.
